Road works on Thelma Street, Como

Due to unexpected bad weather in late February, the City was not able to complete the roadworks at the intersection of Thelma Street and Canning Highway. The City has reprogrammed the works to commence on the night of Tuesday 14 April 2020 between 7pm and 6am, weather and other conditions permitting. The work is estimated to take one night only.

Equipment and vehicle movements may create noise for adjacent residents. To minimise disturbance to residents an out-of-hours Noise Management Plan has been prepared by the head contractor, Asphaltech, and approved by the City of South Perth.

Traffic Management

For the safety of road users and personnel, temporary lane closures and detours will be implemented to facilitate the works. Thelma Street will be closed between Canning Highway and Coode Street, with a detour via Preston Street or Alston Avenue. Please follow all signage and take care when driving in the area.
