Parking updates in South Perth

News Update 6 November 2019

Over the coming months there will be a number of changes to parking times and fees in South Perth. These changes have been endorsed by Council for better management of parking availability for residents and visitors.

South Perth Foreshore

Weekend and evening parking on South Perth Esplanade is free. Time limits are in place during the week to ensure there is adequate parking for leisure users and to minimise commuter parking.

Angelo Street

Changes have been made in Angelo Street, with various restrictions along different parts of the street to balance turnover for the local businesses and allow visitors enough time to get the most out of the area.

On weekdays, bays on the northern side between Coode Street and Rose Avenue offer free two hour parking. The bays outside the Post Office on the southern side between Anstey Street and Coode Street offer free 30 minute parking.

Street parking between Onslow Street and Labouchere Rd (outside Perth Zoo) is $2 an hour or $6 all day. See the table below for full details and timeframes.

Coode Street

A number of different parking options will be available at the two Coode Street car parks.

There will be a 4P FREE section as well as additional free spaces at weekends and between 6pm and 8am during the week. Paid parking will be in operation in some of these areas during the day – please refer to signs and information on the ticket machines for details of charges and times for individual areas.

When parking anywhere in the City, please refer to the signs and the information on the ticket machines at all times.

Payment is made easy with the EasyPark app, which provides an alternative to cash and credit card payment, and allows you to pay only for the time you use. You enter the car park number displayed near the ticket machine and the calculations are done for you. You can even stop the app when you get back to your car, meaning you only pay for the time you use the parking bay. The app can be downloaded onto your phone from the App Store or Google Play store.
