Kwinana Fwy temporary shared path closure
The temporary closure of the Kwinana Freeway Principal Shared Path (PSP), north of Canning Highway, will now be in place until early November 2019.
From Monday 2 September this closure will extend northwards to the Narrows Bridge, with detour 2 in place via Melville Parade, Judd Street and Mill Point Road.
The PSP will be fully reopened in early November 2019.*
The temporary closure of the PSP is required for the safety of cyclists, pedestrians and road users and Main Roads WA workforce during construction works.
During this closure, existing manhole covers on the shared path are being lowered to pavement level. This will ensure a safer and smoother journey for PSP users. Some minor realignment and resurfacing is also required in a number of locations to facilitate the installation of gantries and drainage for the Smart Freeway - Kwinana Northbound project.
