Nominate a local legend for the Volunteer of the Year Awards

Nominations open today for the 2019 City of South Perth Volunteer of the Year Awards.

If you know someone who gives their time as a volunteer and has made a difference in our community, you can nominate them for an award.

Awards are presented in three categories:

• Junior Volunteer of the Year (under 18 years)
• Young Volunteer of the Year (18 - 25 years)
• Volunteer of the Year (over 25 years).

“The City’s awards recognise the excellent work and dedication of volunteers who give their valuable time to help others,” City of South Perth Mayor Sue Doherty said.

“Volunteers are really important within our community. Their efforts enhance community life and build resilience, connection and inclusion within our society.

“As well as acknowledging the fine work of our current volunteers, we hope their stories inspire others to donate their time and start volunteering.”

Nominations close 4pm, 30 September 2019.

Winners will be announced at the City’s annual Thank a Volunteer Day Celebration in December 2019.
