Weed Control Treatment
Subject to weather conditions, contract weed control treatments will be carried out on all footpaths, cycle ways, drainage sumps and kerb lines within the City of South Perth from 21 January 2019, commencing in the Manning Ward.
The City will be carrying out three different treatments of weed control:
- Glysophate Green 360 will be applied on minor roads and distributor roads
- Pelargonic Acid will be applied around shopping precincts
- Steam will be used around schools/hospitals/nursing homes.
Appropriate signage will be displayed on moving vehicles and in strategic locations while the work is being undertaken, with the weed control operations being monitored by City officers in accordance with safety guidelines.
