The Rose Coloured House by Melissa McVee on display at David Vincent Park

Media Release 9 January 2019
Public Art

Temporary art installation The Rose Coloured House by artist Melissa McVee is on display at David Vincent Park in Kensington until 28 March 2019.

The public art installation was commissioned by the City of South Perth and is part of the City’s 2019 Arts, Events and Culture calendar.

Mayor Sue Doherty said artist Melissa McVee “has created a magical experience”.

“The work has been designed to encourage viewers to walk around and through the artwork. The inserts of transparent colour bathe the surrounding area in multi-coloured hues which are shaped by the sun,” Mayor Sue Doherty said.

The Rose Coloured House is on display daily from 7 January to 28 March 2019 at David Vincent Park, Vista St, Kensington.

Visitors are encouraged to share their photos by tagging the City on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter using #discoversouthperth.

Look out for the City’s Arts, Events & Culture calendar or visit the City’s website for more information.
