Streets Alive Neighbour Day competition winner

News Update 11 April 2017

Local resident, Julie has received a $100 Waterford Plaza voucher for participating in the City’s 2017 Streets Alive Neighbour Day competition.

Julie hosted a morning tea with the neighbours in her apartment complex on Neighbour Day (26 March). She introduced two neighbours who had never met, even though they have both lived in the same complex for several years. Sometimes all it takes is an invitation!

The City encourages residents to get to know your neighbours and contribute to a safe, inclusive community. Register as a Streets Alive host and nominate your street, or a section of your street for an event, picnic, BBQ or activity that gets your neighbours talking to one another.

The City provides support for your neighbourhood event and reimbursement for approved purchases up to $100 (with receipt).
