2016 Volunteer of the Year Awards - Nominations Open

Do you know an inspirational volunteer? Someone who has made a significant contribution to our community through their volunteering? If you do, then why not nominate them for the City of South Perth Volunteer of the Year Awards.

In conjunction with international ‘Thank a Volunteer Day’ held on 5 December 2016, the City is proud to present the 10th annual Volunteer of the Year Awards.

“Volunteers play a vital role in our community; they contribute in so many ways whether it be socially, culturally or economically.” Mayor Sue Doherty said.

“The City’s Awards aim to recognise these outstanding efforts and offer an opportunity to celebrate the work of the countless volunteers whose contributions help make our City such a great place to live.”

Awards are presented in three categories:
Junior Volunteer of the Year (under 18 years)
Young Volunteer of the Year (18 - 25 years)
Volunteer of the Year (over 25 years)

Key Dates:
Nominations open - 1 August 2016
Nominations close - 30 September 2016
Winners announced - 5 December 2016
