Mosquito Management

In 2012 and 2013, how many complaints were received about mosquitoes? What was the nature of these?
During the years 2012 and 2013, the City received a total of 12 complaints from residents regarding excessive mosquito numbers.
The City has worked hard and committed extra resources over the past two years to address resident concerns in relation to mosquito management.
How does the City manage mosquitoes?
The City has a Mosquito Management Plan in place, which is an operational program that was formally documented in August 2010. The Mosquito Management Plan provides guidance on the control and management of seasonal mosquitoes within the City during the mosquito-breeding season, typically from August through to April.
