Working to prevent crime in the City
The City facilitate a Community Safety and Crime Prevention Group comprised of City staff, WA Police representatives, state government agencies and local community associations involved in community safety. The Group meets on a regular basis to monitor community safety and crime prevention at a local level.

Hurlingham Playground Replacement
The City will be replacing the playground at Sir James Mitchell Park near Hurlingham Road. The works are currently scheduled to commence on 16 March and be completed by 19 March 2021.
Aerial mosquito treatment - 8 March 2021
The City will be carrying out an aerial larvicide treatment between 9am and 4pm on Monday 8 March 2021 in the wetland area south of Waterford from Cygnia Cove through to the Salter Point Lagoon.
Artist May Gibbs inducted into WA Women’s Hall of Fame 'Roll of Honour'
Artist May Gibbs has been inducted into the WA Women’s Hall of Fame. May lived much of her early life with her family in South Perth in The Dune, a home on the corner of Harper Tce and Suburban Rd (now Mill Point Rd).
