Welcome to our summer edition of mySouthPerth, your go-to guide for everything happening in the City.

Dive into local news, discover exciting events, and explore stories that highlight the people who make South Perth a vibrant and inclusive community.

This summer is shaping up to be one to remember. With the warmer weather upon us, it's the perfect time to get outside and enjoy a season packed with exciting outdoor events for the whole family.

After a five-year break, we’re thrilled to welcome back our beloved South Perth Sounds concert. Promising an unforgettable evening of live music under the stars, the 2025 event will feature none other than Aussie indie pop legends San Cisco and support act End of Fashion.

Southside Summer – our very own FRINGE WORLD 2025 event on the foreshore – is also gearing up to be an unmissable highlight on our City’s summer events calendar, promising to deliver a mix of fun, family-friendly cultural activities and interactive live performances.

There are year-round activities our City has to offer that are particularly enjoyable in the warmer weather, such as a round of mini golf with the family at Collier Park Golf Course or a visit to our beautiful foreshore.

We’re delivering a more connected and inclusive community for those who wheel and ride. The new Manning Bike Track is expected to open in January, offering a progressive riding experience for all ages and abilities.

Plus, the Canning Bridge to Curtin University Bike Link has brought safer streets, a pocket park and a shared path to enhance accessibility in our City.

In addition to these exciting developments, our vibrant community continues to thrive on the contributions of local volunteers and artists – from this year’s Emerging Artist Award winner to the youth volunteers who painted the new mural at Karawara, to the dolphin watchers providing valuable research.

I hope you enjoy this latest instalment of mySouthPerth. For regular updates on what’s happening around the City, follow us on social media or subscribe to our fortnightly mySnapshot newsletter at southperth.wa.gov.au/signup
