Temporary membership
If you are a visitor to the area, you can join the City of South Perth Libraries as a temporary member for a period of up to three months. There is no minimum age to join but those under 18 years of age require a signature from their parent or legal guardian.
To join you need to provide:
- Photo ID eg. driver’s licence, passport, 18+ card
- Proof of residential address in Perth
- Contact phone number and email
- Permanent residential address in Australia or overseas.
Temporary members must read and agree to the Terms and conditions of membership.
Cost and Duration
Visitors and new residents can register as a temporary member for a period of three months. There is a deposit of $60 per temporary member that is fully refundable at the end of the three month period upon return of all items. All loaned material must be returned in its original condition.
What can I borrow?
Temporary members can borrow up to six items from the collection for a three week period. Items on loan to temporary members can not be renewed online or phone.
Internet only membership
Did you know that you can become an Internet Only member? Ideal for travellers, this membership entitles you to use our full range of eResources with internet access on one of the library PCs for up to two hours.
There are no borrowing rights with this membership.
