Keep the kids entertained this school holidays

The City has a range of activities to entertain and excite young ones these coming October school holidays, from cooking and arts to sports and library-driven initiatives. 

George Burnett Leisure Centre (GBLC) is hosting a number of sporting clinics, with basketball, netball, soccer and multisports on offer. The programs aim to encourage physical activity, participation and healthy lifestyles for kids. They’re offered for various age groups, and bookings are required.

GBLC is also hosting a cooking and arts program, Halloween themed to tie in with the October timeslot. Spaces are limited to 14 children for these sessions, so ensure you book quickly. 

South Perth Libraries have a number of programs to inspire and delight young minds, with recycled antique sculptures sessions for creatives, moon landing robotics with Scitech sessions for budding scientists, Story time and Ye Olde’ Games at the Old Mill for time travellers, and Make Your Own Book stations for aspiring authors and illustrators. 

The library sessions are all free, most require bookings.
