Celebrate WA Seniors Week with the City of South Perth

News Update 27 October 2025
The City of South Perth is proud to join Western Australia in celebrating WA Seniors Week 2025, from Sunday 9 November to Sunday 16 November. This annual event recognises the vital role older people play in our community and celebrates their contributions to everyday life in WA.

To mark the occasion, the City is hosting an Aged Care Info Session on Thursday 13 November where attendees can learn about upcoming changes to the Commonwealth Home Support Program and meet local service providers.

Seniors Week is also a great time to explore the wide range of programs and activities the City offers all year round.

At South Perth Library, our Be Connected Program helps people over 55 gain confidence with technology, online safety, social media, shopping online, mobile devices and more.

Our Popcorn and Pictures screenings are the perfect cosy outing with a cuppa. Join us on Tuesday 11 November at Manning Library for a free showing of Loving Vincent.

At Manning and South Perth Seniors Centres, there’s plenty to keep you active and engaged. Join in activities like yoga, tai chi, dancing, bridge, chess, mah-jong, bingo or keep-fit classes. You can also access services such as hairdressing, podiatry, remedial massage and shopping centre excursions – or get creative with community groups like the Manning Men’s Shed

WA Seniors Week is the perfect chance to try something new, stay connected and celebrate the contributions of older members of our community.
