Tell us what you think about our proposals for Karawara’s laneways

News Update 10 October 2024
Karawara Vision
We want to hear your thoughts on the draft Karawara Pedestrian and Cycle Access Plan, which has been developed to create a decision-making framework for future requests to close local laneways.

We’ve reviewed all 32 laneways in Karawara and classified them into two groups to identify if each laneway is essential or non-essential in terms of how it’s used by pedestrians and cyclists in Karawara:

  • Essential: Laneways that are important for getting around and should stay open.
  • Non-essential: Laneways that could be closed without causing much disruption.
The draft plan also recommends infrastructure improvements to the laneways.

Join us in person on Wednesday 16 October from 12–2pm at the Village Green Shopping Centre to share your thoughts and learn more about the draft plan.

You can also take part online via the Your Say South Perth website by 4pm, Monday 11 November.
