Reset with yoga and mindfulness

News Update 7 October 2024
Yoga novices or those looking for a local class are encouraged to join a six-week course commencing 10 October at George Burnett Leisure Centre.

The introductory program, which will run on Thursdays from 6.30-7.30pm, will cover the history and philosophy of yoga.

Participants will learn how to balance, breathe effectively and build on poses to create a simple flow.

The introduction to mindfulness and yoga will have a relaxed pace, with each session building on the previous one.

Experienced instructor and yogi Bhav Patel will demonstrate how to explore slow and gentle techniques to reduce stress, anxiety and restore balance.

The course aims to improve overall wellbeing and mental health, whilst allowing participants to connect with fellow beginners.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their own yoga mat; however, some will be available at each session.  A water bottle, notepad and pen will also be required.

The program costs $36 plus booking fee and is in partnership with Mentally Healthy WA to promote the Act Belong Commit health campaign.

Tickets can be purchased online.
