Irrigation system works at Douglas Avenue to begin Monday 26 August

As part of ongoing improvements to its irrigation system, the City of South Perth will replace a section of the mainline from the bore near Lake Tondut, Clydesdale Reserve, on Douglas Avenue.

Work is scheduled to begin the week of Monday 26 August, and will last four to six weeks.

The construction area will be fenced, with trenches remaining open and stockpiled with sand. Street parking bays along the west side of Douglas Avenue will be closed, and a temporary access path will be provided to maintain access to public toilet facilities.

The City of South Perth irrigation system services parkland areas, extending from Ellam Street to the west side of the Narrows Bridge. These works form part of the ongoing improvement of this asset, which ensures that it remains in good working order into the future.
