New playground at Bill McGrath Reserve
The play space at Bill McGrath Reserve in Kensington has re-opened.
The new playground, designed to cater to children of all ages, offers an exciting array of play equipment and features the City's first climbing pillar, providing endless fun for local families.
The revamped play space includes:
- Larger play equipment: more options for climbing, sliding, and imaginative play
- New sand pit: a spacious area for children to dig, build, and explore
- Stepping stones: fun and interactive elements for balancing and coordination
- Shade shelter: a new structure to provide shade and comfort for families
- Two tube slides: fast and thrilling slides for adventurous kids
- Rock climbing wall: a challenging feature for young climbers
- Double swing: enjoy swinging with a friend or sibling.
In addition to these new features, the previous pencil climbers have been replaced with modern structures, and the timber stepping boxes have been repaired to ensure safety and durability.
A shade sail will be installed just in time for the warmer, sunny weather.
