Farmers Market on Manning to move to Hedley Park

Media Release 1 July 2024

The Farmers Market on Manning are moving down the road to Hedley Park from 5 October 2024.

This move marks a new chapter for the community market, with the new location at Hedley Park offering increased space for more stalls, additional parking and ample room for the community to gather and enjoy.

Despite the change in venue from George Burnett Park, the markets will continue to be called The Farmers Market on Manning, maintaining their well-loved identity.

City of South Perth Mayor Greg Milner said the relocation to Hedley Park reflects the long-standing popularity and continued growth of the much-loved markets.

“The new site offers greater space, ensuring these community markets will continue to thrive and grow for many years to come.

“Our community has greatly benefited from having The Farmers Market on Manning at the George Burnett Park for many years.

“My family and I look forward to continuing our visits to these wonderful markets at their new location down the road at Hedley Park.”

David Vincent, owner of The Farmers Market on Manning, expressed his gratitude to the City for a partnership that has spanned nearly 15 years.

“Our partnership with the City of South Perth has been instrumental in the success of The Farmers Market on Manning.

“The move to Hedley Park opens up new opportunities for growth and improvement, and we’re excited about the increased space, which will allow us to serve our community better and continue to provide a vibrant market experience.”

Each Saturday, the markets attract over 3,500 visitors, offering a wide variety of fresh produce, artisanal goods, and a vibrant atmosphere.

This move is the result of a mutually agreed decision between the market owner, David Vincent, and the City of South Perth. The proximity of the new location will still ensure the South Perth community can benefit from the markets.

Hedley Park is located on the cnr of Manning Road and Dumond Street in Bentley. The Park is only 3.2km from George Burnett Park.
