Laneway Upgrade Works

LANEWAY UPGRADE WORKS – RIGHT OF WAY 121

Laneway upgrade works will improve the durability and driving surface of the laneway. The City will be undertaking the road works as follows:

Location: Right of Way 121 accessed via Davilak Street between Edgecumbe Street to Clydesdale Street, Como

Date: Week Commencing Monday 27 November 2023

Duration: Approximately 3 weeks, weather permitting, Monday to Friday between the hours of 7am to 5pm. Please note the works may not be carried out every day during this period.

The works will include:

• Excavation & removal of existing laneway pavement to be replaced with new underlying pavement
• Laying of a new asphalt surface
• Civil infrastructure upgrades including new kerbing and drainage soak wells
• Replacement of the concrete crossover and driveway that accesses the laneway.

Will I be able to access my property during the road works?

Property access via the laneway will be impacted for a significant portion of the works, particularly whilst the new pavement is being installed. The contractor will notify affected residents by letter 48 hours before the disruptions to the laneway commence.

How will the traffic be managed during the road works?

Temporary lane closures and detours will be in place during the road works. Should you need to enter or exit your property while the works are in progress, please speak to the traffic controllers who will direct you through the work area. For the safety of road users and personnel, please follow signage and take care when driving in the area.
