EOI to activate former RAC Intellibus Hub site on South Perth Foreshore

News Update 1 September 2023

The City of South Perth (City) is inviting Expressions of Interest (EOI) from commercial businesses and community organisations to activate the section between zones 4 and 5 of the South Perth Foreshore reserve (site formerly occupied by the RAC Intellibus® Hub), through the facilitation of temporary recreational activities or associated operations during the 2023/24 financial year.

The City is eager to hear from you if you feel you can support the City to:

  • Embrace and facilitate unique events and attractions on or near the foreshore areas and reserves
  • Facilitate and create opportunities for social, cultural and physical activity in the City
  • Undertake events and attractions to grow tourism to local destinations.

The types of operations may include:

  • Recreational activities (e.g. bike hire, sporting activities, fitness classes etc.)
  • Events

  • Tours

Applicants will need to provide details of how their proposal meets a range of criteria, including alignment to supporting the City’s strategic objectives, risk management, noise/parking compliance requirements, community benefit, access and inclusion.

EOI closes at 4pm, Friday 15 September 2023.

This EOI process does not exclude other proposals being submitted to the City for assessment during the

year.

Note: multi-year agreement/licence agreement renewal option may also be negotiated between the parties.
