Interested in making a valuable contribution to the City of South Perth? Nominate to join a Committee.

The City is seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced members of the community to join its Audit, Risk and Governance Committee. The term of Membership will be for a period of two years in line with the local government elections.

Audit, Risk and Governance Committee

The Audit, Risk and Governance Committee is a committee established under Section 7.1A of the Local Government Act 1995 to assist and advise the council. The committee meets quarterly and is responsible for the oversight of the City’s financial audit, risk management framework, statutory compliance, policies, and delegations. To be part of the Committee the following skills and experience are required:

  • Senior business and/or financial management experience
  • Understanding of reporting and compliance requirements
  • Understanding of internal and external audit

  • Understanding of enterprise risk management
