Perfectly Queer - creating an inclusive City

The City of South Perth is proud to launch Perfectly Queer in South Perth, a LGBTIQA+ youth empowerment series designed to bring people together and foster a community that is accessible and inclusive for all.

Running from 4 March until 28 April 2023, the inaugural series of free events aims to support young people in our community aged between 16 and 24 who may be exploring and/or questions their identity.

The program includes a soccer workshop and lunch with Perth Pride Football Club; coffee and a chat with a representative from Headspace, the National Youth Mental Health Foundation; mini golf at Collier Golf; a walking tour of Mends Street’s forgotten history; and a night of laughs and bingo with vivacious drag queen Donna Kebab.

City of South CEO, Mike Bradford said Perfectly Queer is an initiative of the City of South Perth’s Access and Inclusion Plan to create a more accessible and inclusive community for all.

“Perfectly Queer is part of our approach towards creating a more accessible and inclusive community for all people,” Mr Bradford said.

“The fun and informative program of events will take place across the City to provide young people from diverse backgrounds with the chance to engage and connect within our community and help promote a feeling of belonging.”
