Share your thoughts on the City's new Access and Inclusion Plan

News Update 24 August 2022

A new plan has been developed to guide the City's future planning to ensure our community is more accessible and inclusive for all.

Community members can now provide feedback on the draft Access and Inclusion Plan 2022-27 (AIP), which replaces the Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP).

The new plan takes an expanded approach towards creating a more accessible and inclusive community for all, including:

  • People with disability
  • Young people
  • Elderly
  • People from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
  • Disadvantaged people
  • People who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

Similar to our previous DAIP, the draft AIP has actions under seven outcome areas to address access to civic buildings, community facilities, parks and reserves, publicly accessible information and employment opportunities, as well as inclusion within the City’s programs, services and events.

It also outlines strategies to encourage greater community belonging, by supporting people of all abilities and backgrounds to engage and connect.

Feedback can be provided online via Your Say South Perth before 4pm, Wednesday 14 September.
