Youth Week wrap-up and survey

News Update 20 April 2022
Youth

Young people from around the City of South Perth came together from Friday 8 to Saturday 16 April for a week of free events and activities, as part of this year’s Youth Week celebrations.

There was great feedback from local young people and their families, with many events selling out. The Amazing Race, a joint initiative between the Belmont, Victoria Park and South Perth Local Drug Action Group, was particularly popular.

Developed with the support of the South Perth Youth Network, the City's Youth Week was focused on giving 10 to 25-year-olds opportunities to try new activities, learn new skills and make new connections in their community.

Events such as Youth Week are an important aspect of the City's Youth Plan, which was recently endorsed by Council.

Youth Week participants can now share their thoughts on the event with a survey, which will be available until Friday 20 May.

Youth Week is supported by the Department of Communities and held in partnership with Mentally Healthy WA to promote the Act Belong Commit campaign.
