Have your say on Public Art Masterplan

News Update 23 March 2022
Public Art

Sculptures, murals, light installations and other art works have the power to change the way we feel and the City of South Perth is keen to hear your thoughts on how public art will influence our future City.

The City has developed its first Public Art Masterplan, which is now open for comment.

The draft Masterplan will guide public art works and projects across all suburbs, taking into consideration local history and people as well as new opportunities that may arise as development transforms the local landscape.

The plan recognises the importance of collaboration in developing public art and encourages private developers, community organisations, businesses, residents and visitors to be involved in the public comment process.

The finalised Masterplan will ensure that future public art works contribute to the City’s beauty, as well as help to activate public spaces, improve culture and strengthen community relationships.

To find out more about existing public art, the City of South Perth has created a Public Art Map that provides locations, information and images about current and past works.

Feedback closes 4pm, Monday 11 April with the final Public Art Masterplan to be implemented mid-2022.
