Volunteering at your local library is a rewarding experience. Our volunteers are a vital part of the City of South Perth community, helping us to provide the best possible library service and a positive environment where everyone

is welcome.

In 2020/21, volunteers contributed an impressive 1,138 hours stacking shelves, delivering books to housebound residents and sharing their skills and knowledge through programs including English as a Second Language and Get Job Ready.

We are always looking for more community-minded people to join our team of volunteers. Right now we are seeking volunteers for our Time for Play program, an early literacy program for families with young children from babies to five years old. Time for Play volunteers assist library staff to set up and pack down each session and provide help to families attending.

Previous experience working with children is an advantage and training will be provided. A Working with Children Check is essential. If this role interests you, please email volunteercoordinator@southperth.wa.gov.au for more information.
