Have you considered standing as a candidate for local government?

If you’re passionate about the future of our City and believe you can make a valuable contribution, this is your chance to have a positive impact on your community’s future. 

A candidate information session for anyone interested in becoming a City of South Perth Councillor will be held at 6pm on Thursday 26 August. The session will provide an overview of the roles and responsibilities of Elected Members and the nomination and election process. 

The evening will feature a presentation by the WA Electoral Commission and the City's Chief Executive Officer and there will be opportunity to ask questions.

You can nominate to stand as a candidate in the City of South Perth if you are eligible to vote, which means you are at least 18 years of age, not disqualified and enrolled to vote.

Local Government elections will be held on 16 October 2021, with nominations for Council open from 2 to 9 September.

Candidate Information Session

6pm, Thursday 26 August 2021

Reception Room, City of South Perth Civic Centre, Cnr Sandgate Street and South Terrace, South Perth.

No registration required.
