Manning Hub project progress

The second phase of the City's Manning Hub Project will improve access and the flow of foot traffic between businesses on Welwyn Avenue and community facilities located at Manning Hub.

Upgrades are progressing well, with demolition of the old deli building now complete, opening the area up to create a pedestrian laneway. Shopfronts have been refreshed with attractive new pavement, improving access and creating cohesion through the whole area.

The coming weeks will see landscaping works carried out to bring the area to life with greenery. Private construction of new shops on either side of the laneway has started which will allow the City to continue works on the laneway.  

Works are planned to be complete at the end of July 2021.
