Road Rehabilitation - Manning Rd between Davilak Cres and Welwyn Ave

In accordance with the 2020/21 Capital Works Program, the City of South Perth will be undertaking road rehabilitation works at the following location:

Manning Road’s eastbound lane only between Davilak Crescent and Welwyn Avenue, Manning, commencing 15 February 2021.

Working hours

Please be aware The City’s civil contractor WCP will be commencing night works along Manning Road on the 5th and 6th of March.

The works are scheduled at night to avoid major disruption to high-volume daytime traffic on Manning Road. Works are scheduled between 8pm and 5am Monday to Friday and, if required, between 8pm and 6am on Saturday and Sunday nights. The works will take approximately 2-4 weeks to complete, weather permitting.

Work activities and noise management 

Activities taking place at night include:

• Minor kerbing and footpath upgrades
• Milling of the existing road surfacing
• Resurfacing with new asphalt
• Traffic management.

Equipment and vehicle movements may create noise for adjacent residents. To minimise disturbance to residents, an out-of-hours noise management plan has been prepared by the head contractor, West Coast Profilers Civil and approved by the City of South Perth.

Traffic management 

For the safety of road users and personnel, temporary lane closures and detours will be implemented to facilitate the works. Manning Road eastbound will be closed between Davilak Crescent and Welwyn Avenue. It is recommended that residents north of Manning Road planning to travel east should enter Manning Road via the intersection of Canavan Crescent and Manning Road. Please follow all signage and take care when driving in the area.
