Road works on Coode Street, South Perth
The City will begin blister island resurfacing works on Coode Street between Walters Street and Pilgrim Street as well as Coode Street between Hensman Street and Angelo Street in South Perth on 25 May 2020.
In accordance with the 2019/20 Capital Works Program, the works will take approximately 2 weeks to complete, weather permitting. Works will be confined to the hours of 7am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
For the safety of road users and personnel, the road will be closed at certain times to through-traffic. Local residents will be permitted to access their properties, although some delays may occur. On-street parking will also be restricted to facilitate the works.
The works include road resurfacing and upgrading of concrete kerbing within the blister island. As such, vehicle movements in and out of properties adjacent to the blister island will be affected during the kerb and asphalt replacement. A letter will be sent to affected residents 48 hours prior to these works. The City recommends residents affected by these works to utilise on-street parking available within the vicinity.
The works may also involve the removal and replacement of kerbing. If residents have reticulation on the kerb line it will be temporarily cut, capped and relocated away from the kerb. A notice will be placed in letterboxes upon reinstatement of reticulation. The City requests that residents test their systems within a two week period of receipt of the notice and if issues present they are to notify the City as soon as possible.
