Stationery donations requested

News Update 6 September 2019

Community members are encouraged to donate new stationery at collection boxes at South Perth and Manning Libraries as part of the School Packs Project, between 2-30 September 2019. 

The stationery is used to make packs to support the education of Australian children being raised by their grandparents and children escaping violence and living in refuges. 

This is the second year the City has participated. In 2018, 780 stationery packs were  donated to children facing hardship in WA.

Stationery required (new items only please) include:

  • Pens
  • Pencil cases
  • Packets highlighters
  • Packets twist crayons
  • Packets coloured markers
  • Packets coloured pencils
  • Black permanent markers
  • Small metal scissors
  • Writing pencils
  • Barrel sharpeners
  • Glue sticks
  • Erasers
  • Rulers.
