Traffic Management Works – Mill Point Road and Forrest Street Right Turn Improvements

In accordance with the 2018/19 Capital Works Program, the City of South Perth will be undertaking traffic management works at the following location:

Mill Point Rd and Forrest St junction, South Perth
Commencing 13 May 2019

The works will take approximately 2 weeks to complete, weather permitting. These works involve realigning the east-west carriageways in order to install a right turn lane into Forrest Street to separate the turning traffic from through traffic.

Works are scheduled at night to avoid major disruption to high-volume daytime traffic on Mill Point Road. Works are scheduled between 7pm and 6am.

Activities taking place at night include:
• Installation of new median islands
• Installation of new access ramps
• Resurfacing with new asphalt
• Line marking
• Traffic Management

Equipment and vehicle movements may create noise for adjacent residents. To minimise disturbance to local residents an out-of-hours Noise Management Plan has been prepared by the Head Contractor, Asphaltech and approved by the City of South Perth.

For the safety of road users and personnel, a road closure of Mill Point Road with detours will be implemented to facilitate the Works.
