Free Youth Week WA events a hit with City of South Perth locals

News Update 24 April 2019

Approximately 200 young people attended the City’s free Youth Week WA program of events and activities which ran from 13 to 20 April 2019.

The Youth Week events continue to grow and this year included a range of practical hands-on workshops as well as sports and live entertainment. The City’s youth leadership team South Perth Youth Network (SPYN) helped plan and organise the program of events.

Local young people enjoyed the free Lazy Sunday event at South Perth Community Hall, featuring local entertainment, DJs, games and activities. The interactive workshops were also a hit and included a sold-out magazine (zine) workshop and a dumpling workshop hosted by  former MasterChef contestant Brendan Pang. A skateboarding workshop hosted by Skateboarding WA was popular with both the young people and their parents and attracted over 50 participants.
