English as a Second Language group sessions

Are you, or someone you know interested in joining an English Conversation group at Manning Library?

The weekly English as a Second Language group sessions are informal, conversational and will cover a wide variety of topics. Sessions are scheduled to take place at Manning Library.

The first three sessions will take place on:

  • 2-3pm, Thursday 22 November
  • 2-3pm, Thursday 29 November
  • 2-3pm, Wednesday 19 December

eResources

Is English your second language and you are studying for IELTS?

As part of our online eResources, we have access to Road to IELTS. The online program will help you pass your exam with its preparation and practice resources. It is interactive with up-to-date hints and tips. There are also videos from experts.
 
Transparent Language Online will also assist you to learn English as a Second Language. Available via our website or use the handy app, downloadable from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Sign up for an account and work your way through the online lessons and modules.
 
As well as our online resources, both the South Perth and Manning Library have English as a Second Language book collections. These books start with very basic needs, working up to material to assist with IELTS/ESL exams. Books can be borrowed for up to 3 weeks.
 
You will need to be a library member to access online eResources or to borrow books. Visit us at our South Perth or Manning Library branches to join and receive your Library Card today.
