The City undertakes ward boundary review
The City is undertaking a review of its ward representation to comply with the requirements of the Local Government Act 1995.
Ward boundaries and the number of councillors for each ward have been reviewed against five factors:
- Community of interest
- Physical and topographic features
- Demographic trends
- Economic factors
- Ratio of councillors to electors in the two wards.
A Discussion Paper outlines the current situation and the proposed alternative ward structure.
Interested persons are invited to make a written submission about any aspect of ward boundaries and representation. Visit yoursay.southperth.wa.gov.au to find out more and to submit your feedback.
