Traffic management on Ryrie Ave in Como 28 March
As part of the City's 2017/18 Capital Works Program, the City will be implementing traffic management measures on Ryrie Ave in Como between Canning Hwy and Axford St.
This is in response to both general community feedback voicing concerns about excessive vehicle speeds, and the recommendations contained within the local area traffic management study. The proposed treatment will be in the form of two raised plateaus and consistent with those successfully installed within the local area on Todd Ave and Bessell Ave.
Construction works are scheduled to commence on Wednesday 28 March 2018 and will take approximately one week to complete, weather permitting. Works will be confined to the hours of 7am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, although in order to complete the works it may be necessary to carry out some activities outside of these hours, including Saturdays.
Ryrie Ave will be closed at certain times to through-traffic, and on-street parking will also be restricted to facilitate the works. The City's staff will make every effort to reduce any inconvenience.
