Out for comment revised Policy P317 - Licensed Premises
The City has revised Policy P317 and it is now available for comment.
Policy P317 provides guidelines for the assessment of licensed premises. The Policy has been modified to:
- Delete the land use definitions and excerpt of the land use permissibility table from Town Planning Scheme No. 6, and instead reference the relevant clauses in the Scheme.
- Update terminology to be consistent with the Scheme and Planning and Development (Local Planning Scheme) Regulations, 2015.
- Amend the criteria relating to design and location to ensure that the permissibility of a Liquor Store (Large) in a particular zone is considered in the determination of applications involving a ‘Tavern’ or ‘Hotel’ that will display and sell packaged liquor from a net lettable area of 300 square metres or more.
