New footpath construction Roebuck Drive

News Update 28 July 2017
Road Works
In accordance with the City’s 2017/18 Capital Works Program, a new 2 metre wide concrete footpath will be constructed on the southern side of Roebuck Drive (Aquinas College side) between Mt Henry Road and Hope Avenue Reserve, Salter Point. The works will commence in August 2017, weather permitting.

Once construction commences, the works are anticipated to be completed within six working days. The works will take place between 7am and 4pm, Monday to Friday.

When the footpath is completed the City will plant 15 new Jacaranda trees along the verge adjacent to the new path. These will replace current missing trees and any poorly-formed young trees that are unlikely to develop into good specimens.

The large Ficus tree (Ficus rubiginosa) opposite 46 Roebuck Drive will have some formative pruning to remove dead wood and lift the crown to ensure there are no obstructions on the new path.
