Water main renewal works commencing soon
Water Corporation will be replacing a number of existing underground water mains in the City. The purpose of the work is to improve the security and reliability of the water supply to the area.
Work is planned to take place on the following streets:
- Forrest Street
- Labouchere Road
- York Street
- Anstey Street
- Hopetoun Street
- Coode Street
- Clarence Street
- Alexandra Street
- Comer Street
- Thelma Street
- Angelo Street
- Douglas Avenue
- King Edward Street
- Mill Point Road
- Onslow Street
- Harper Terrace
Work will commence in March 2017 and is scheduled for completion by July 2017. Please note that work will be carried out in stages.
Work will be carried out by both trenchless and open trench methods. Access to impacted properties will be available at all times, although there may be some minor delays. Traffic management will be in place at all times to ensure the safety of road users and pedestrians.
A letter has been sent out by Water Corporation to all affected residents.
