Works on Hovia Terrace between Canning Highway and Third Avenue
As part of the 2016/2017 Capital Works Program, the City will be undertaking road rehabilitation works along Hovia Terrace between Canning Highway and Third Avenue.
Construction works are scheduled to start the week commencing 7 November 2016 and estimated to take approximately 3 weeks, weather permitting. During this time there will be traffic management in place. The road will be closed at certain times to traffic and detours will be in place to provide for through traffic. Local traffic will be permitted, but some minor delays may occur. On-street parking will also be restricted to facilitate the works.
Works will generally be confined to the hours 7am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, however work outside these hours may be necessary.
The work involves the removal and replacement of kerbing. If you have reticulation along the kerb line, it will be cut, capped and replaced where the new kerb is placed and backfilled. To assist the City with this matter, we request that residents fully test their systems within two weeks of the completion of the project and advise us of any problems in writing. Unfortunately, after this period the City may not take responsibility for repairs. A notice will be placed in letterboxes advising once reticulation has been re-instated.
If you have any enquiries, please contact the City.
