Public Notice 19 August 2016

Standing Orders Amendment Local Law

The City of South Perth invites comments on proposed amendments to the Standing Orders Local Law 2007.

The purpose of the amendment is to;

  • change provisions relating to public question time
  • adjust the notice period to ensure Elected Members submit alternative motions in writing to the Chief Executive Officer, by 12pm on the day before the Council Meeting.

This will ensure that all Elected Members and members of the public are given the opportunity to view and consider alternative motions prior to the Council meeting.

Feedback closes 5pm, Friday 2 September 2016.

Proposed New Cats Local Law

The City invites comments on a proposed new Cats Local Law.

The purpose of the new Local Law is to set limitations on the number of cats that may be kept on any premise.

Under this proposed Local Law, persons must not keep more than three cats unless provided for by the Local Law, the Cat Act 2011; or its associated Regulations.

Feedback closes 5pm, Friday 2 September 2016.
