Tighter Restrictions on Licensed Premises

Public Notice 15 March 2016
The Council of the City of South Perth proposed stricter conditions for the approval of particular licensed premises within the City and these conditions have now been approved by the Minister for Planning.

The changes to Town Planning Scheme No.6 - Amendment No.50 - introduce and define additional specific types of licensed premises, being Liquor Store (Large), Liquor Store (Small) and Small Bar, and regulate the permissible locations for them.

The Scheme Amendment was initiated at the August 2015 Council meeting and advertised for community comment from September to November 2015.

All applications for liquor stores and small bars will require consultation with neighbours before decisions are made on those applications.
