Manning Community Hub Information Sessions
An invitation is extended to the community from the City of South Perth to come along to one of two information sessions on the design plans for Manning Hub. The $16 million Manning Hub community facility will become the new heart of Manning and home for Manning Hall, Manning Library, Manning Child Health Clinic, Moorditj Keila, new early childhood facilities as well as the Manning Rippers Football Club.
Demolition of infrastructure at the Manning Hub site has been completed in readiness for the construction of the new Manning Hub community facility. Construction is expected to commence in June 2015 and be completed by mid-2016.
Information sessions are to be held at Manning Seniors Citizens Centre (3 Downey Drive, Manning) on Saturday 20 September from 11am – 12.45pm and Wednesday 24 September from 5.45 – 7.30pm.
The latest design plans will be available and displayed for viewing at these sessions and include presentations by the City of South Perth and project architects Bollig Design.
Mayor Sue Doherty said, “The design of the Manning Hub incorporates a vibrancy, connectedness and accessibility in a facility which integrates community, social and sporting activities for the local community.”
From today the plans will be available for viewing at South Perth and Manning libraries, as well as on the City’s website.
