Finbar Group Limited selected as Preferred Tenderer for the Civic Triangle Site
The City of South Perth is pleased to announce today that following a rigorous Expression of Interest and Private Tender process, it has selected Finbar Group Limited as the preferred tenderer to acquire and develop the unique Civic Triangle site in South Perth.
The Civic Triangle site comprises eight lots over 7206sqm, bounded by Mends Street, Labouchere Road and Mill Point Road (excluding the Australia Post Office) in the strategic heart of South Perth. The lots involved in the sale will be amalgamated to accommodate an exciting new development and have been progressively acquired over a long period of time for this purpose. Proceeds from the sale will be used to fund new community facilities in the City.
The City's strategic vision is to facilitate the sale to a developer that will create a landmark and vibrant mixed use ‘civic heart’ for the South Perth community, incorporating attractive retail, residential, commercial and local public amenities.
The City is currently conducting the required statutory advertising process for the proposed sale, which is $27,310,000 plus GST. The City will be making a further announcement at the conclusion of the statutory advertising period.
The Expression of Interest and Private Tender process was undertaken with JLL as the City’s agent and Jackson McDonald as the City’s legal representative.
