Ernest Johnson Reserve Draft Master Plan 2014 Submissions
As part of the City’s commitment to improve facilities at the Ernest Johnson Reserve, a master plan for redevelopment of the reserve and its associated buildings has been developed by the City, with consultants Jill Powell and Associates.
The aim of the Ernest Johnson Reserve Draft Master Plan 2014 is to accommodate the needs of relevant sports clubs, community groups, the local community and the City. The Plan also provides a contemporary, functional and sustainable multi-purpose facility.
The Draft Master Plan was endorsed for community and stakeholder comment by Council on 27 May 2014. The City is inviting feedback and comments regarding the design elements ofthe concept plan.
Submissions can be lodged:
Online via the Out For Comment page;
In person via feedback forms located at George Burnett Leisure Centre, South Perth Community Hall, South Perth and Manning Libraries and the Civic Centre; and
In writing addressed to: The Chief Executive Officer, City of South Perth cnr SandgateStreet and South Terrace, South Perth WA 6151.
City of South Perth Mayor Sue Doherty is encouraging residents and community groups to submit comments and to share the master plan amongst their networks.
“Receiving and listening to the feedback from our local community is really important. We need to hear how the City can best make decisions for the final plans at the Ernest Johnson Reserve.”
“Our local community’s interests and needs are the priority and we need to look at how toredevelop the versatile space accordingly.”
“To ensure the best possible result is delivered to our local community, we have extended theusual community comment period from 30 days to 60 days.”
Completed submissions need to be received by the City of South Perth by 5pm Thursday 7 August 2014.
