Canning Bridge Community Consultation Workshop

Can you please summarise the feedback received at the latest community session (Nov 23)?
At this stage, feedback from the community consultation session has not been analysed by the consultants, GHD who are running this project in conjunction with the Cities of Melville and South Perth, the Department of Planning and Infrastructure and the transport portfolios.
How many people attended the session?
Approximately 50 people attended the workshop held at the Manning Senior Citizens Centre.
What was the aim and outcomes of the session?
The session aimed to inform and update the community of the current ideas for land use, built form, transport and public spaces for the Canning Bridge Activity Centre.
These ideas have been developed as the project group refines the Canning Bridge Precinct Vision and builds on the feedback received from the community consultation from the latter part of last year.
This feedback will be incorporated into a draft structure plan.
Where to now? What are the next steps?
The next step is to produce a draft structure plan for endorsement by Council in either February or March of next year. The plan will then be advertised to seek comments from the public as part of the required statutory process.
