Community Art Projects

The City encourages community initiated public art projects, and community participation in public art projects.

Community members are encouraged to make contact with the City to discuss any ideas that they may have for community initiated art projects that will result in outcomes located within or visible from the public realm. The City must see and approve any projects that will have visual or other impacts on the community using public spaces, and in some cases may be able to provide in-kind advice and practical support for approved projects.

Eligible projects may apply for funding  through the City’s Community Funding programs. 

Artists and community members are also encouraged to consider partnering with local businesses and property owners on projects.
