Home Safety and Security Equipment Rebate Program

Rebates are available to eligible applicants in the City of South Perth to improve their home safety and security, as part of the City's Home Safety and Security Equipment Rebate Program. 

Each eligible applicant can make a claim towards the purchase and installation of security equipment at their home, including products such as alarms, deadlocks, window locks, security doors and screens, sensor lights and CCTV.

The following rebates are available from the City or State Government, as part of its Safety and Security Rebate Program.

Note: The City’s Home Safety Rebate Program is aimed to complement (not duplicate) the state government’s Safety and Security Rebate Program.

City of South Perth Home Safety and Security Equipment Rebate Program

  • Up to $300 for eligible applicants over 18 years, who hold a concession card (ie; Pensioner Concession or Healthcare card, excludes WA Seniors Card)
  • Up to $250 for eligible applicants over 18 years, who do not hold a concession card 
  • Please read the Home Safety and Security Equipment Rebate Program Terms and Conditions prior to applying.

WA Government Safety and Security Rebate Program

  • Up to $400 for Seniors Card holders. For eligibility, please visit WA.gov.au.

How to apply for the City of South Perth's Home Safety and Security Equipment Rebate Program

Step 1: Claiming your application

Submit the completed application form to the City of South Perth along with:

  1. A copy of the invoice/s and proof of full payment of the installed security item/s within the current financial year
    and
  2. A copy of the applicant’s concession card e.g. Pensioner Concession Card, Health Care Card, Low Income Health Care Card (where applicable).

Step 2: Lodging your application

Submit your completed form and supporting documents via:

  • Email to communitysafety@southperth.wa.gov.au
  • Post to:

  • In person between 8.30am-5pm, Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) at:

Step 3: Confirmation

The City will review each application and advise the outcome via email. 

For approved applications, funds will be transferred electronically into the nominated bank account. Please allow up to six weeks from the date of approval for the payment to be processed.
