Sounds in the Park hits all the right notes
Thousands of locals turned out for a lively evening of Sounds in the Park at Ryrie Reserve in Como, with families, friends and music lovers of all ages rolling out picnic rugs and soaking up the balmy summer vibes.
Headliner Conrad Sewell proved exactly why he’s one of Australia’s most celebrated voices. The ARIA Award winner had the crowd bopping, swaying and singing along as his powerhouse vocals filled the park with the same energy that’s seen him tour with Ed Sheeran and Maroon 5, and perform at iconic venues like Madison Square Garden.
Local favourites Shorehaven brought homegrown energy, while roving performers, kids’ activities, Youth Makers Markets and bustling food trucks kept smiles wide all evening.
If this year’s event is anything to go by, you won’t want to miss the next chapter in the series, Sounds of Bunuru on Saturday 21 March at James Miller Oval in Manning.
Promising another feel-good evening of free live music under the stars, Sounds of Bunuru will be headlined by Australian R&B and dance artist Becca Hatch, with support from Boox Kid and Kayps.
Both events are made possible through funding support from Lotterywest.
Mark your calendar and get ready for another incredible night, complete with roving entertainment, kids’ activities, Youth Makers Markets and a range of food truck options.
